Not just food blessings but a rather useful and easy to access prayer compendium reflecting a diversity of faith systems, though the material is predominantly Christian. A very lovely book to have close to the table and either choose a piece at random or make a more thoughtful selection. This is very user friendly and non-intimidating for those who may be new to prayer to flick through.I enjoyed the author's expanding background on each passage many of which are more general prayers and blessings. And some of the blessings from indigenous and earth based cultures are very appropriate for spring (planting) and harvest time. A warm little book and a wonderful companion for the family!
